You are right. Love and our authentic expressions of self (male or female) are such complex issues. Sometimes, they are difficult for us Medium writers to convey in a short 8-minute article. I also agree that Alex’s word isn’t gospel and not everyone should seek to want to be married or “catch” someone. They were simply one person’s opinions about the woman he loved. I didn’t intend to make it a gender issue — It was simply that I am better friends with Alex and have ad far more conversations with him about love and relationships. So, it was easier to tell it from his perspective. Either way, I loved your response and I will refer to it in the future when I write about love. Thanks again.
